15 July 2011 – Half of the new HIV infections every day are among youngsters under the age of 25. Not only are they the most affected by HIV, they also have never known a world without it. So in order to fight aids, these youngsters have to be a part of the solution. That is why Dance4Life is involving and empowering young people all around the world to push back the spread of HIV and Aids. This is done by inspiring them to stand up and say no to unsafe sex and by teaching them the important life skills they need to protect themselves.
Every youngster who is moved by this idea is engaged to become actively involved to spread the word as an agent4change. As an agent4change you are using the international power of dance to demand change and make a difference. Hereby the aim is to create a movement of 1.000.000 agents of change by 2014.
All of the activities done by Dance4Life are celebrated every other year with a worldwide Dance4Life event on the Saturday before World Aids Day. United by a great cause and connected via satellite every agent4change is invited to use their voice and feet to dance together for life.
“The way Dance4Life engages young people around the world to do something about the HIV/AIDS problem is very powerful. They offer young people an attractive way to do something themselves, and reward them with a spectacular event. The combination of serious content and entertainment assures that Dance4Life gets young people on the move.” – DJ Tiësto, Dance4Life ambassador
